Q. What size cake should I order?

A. This can vary depending on how large a serving you wish to serve, but the following chart provides a generous portion:

6" serves 6-8
8" serves 8-12
10" serves 14-16
8x12" serves 20-25
12x15" serves 30-50
14x22" serves 50-75
18x26" serves 75-100

Q. Is there sales tax on my order?

A. There is no sales tax on baked goods unless consumed in store.

Q. How do I store my cake?

A. We advise that you store the cake in a refrigerated environment up until you are going to serve it. Keep flat during transportation. If you are going to be traveling for an extended period of time (2hrs or more), please let us know and we can place your cake in the freezer prior to pickup to help ensure its safe passage.

Q. Where is your bakery located?

A. We are located at 521 Clement St, San Francisco, Ca 94118. In between 6th Ave and 7th Ave. Across from The Green Apple Bookstore.

Q. What are your shop hours?

A. We are open 5 days a week:

Wednesday to Saturday, 9am - 5:30pm
Sunday, 9am - 4pm
Closed Monday and Tuesday

For holiday hours please call the store at 415-752-1580

Q. What are your phone hours?

A. We answer the phone from 9:00am-5:00pm, Wednesday through Friday.
We are not able to answer the phone on Saturday through Tuesday.

Does Schubert's offer gluten free, sugar free, dairy free, and vegan products?

A. Unfortunately we do not at the moment.

We DO NOT guarantee any of our cakes, pastries or other items to be free of allergens like nuts, dairy, wheat or certain fruits.

Q. Which products are guaranteed not to have any alcohol?

A. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that any of our cakes or pastries are alcohol-free.

Q. Do I need to leave a tip for the staff?

A. You are under no obligation to leave a tip at Schubert’s Bakery. Tipping is not expected here. Our register has new standard software and we are unable to delete the tip screen at this time. You have the option to skip it when checking out.

Q. Does Schubert's deliver?

A. Sorry, but we do not deliver. However, you can order with your specific pick up time.

Terms & Conditions

All web orders must be placed at least 48 hours in advance.
All products must be picked up at our Clement street location.
If you are not satisfied with our product we will issue a full store credit.

Privacy Statement

Here at Schubert's Bakery, we understand the importance of your privacy.

Schubert's Bakery will never willfully disclose individually identifiable information about its customers to any third party without first receiving that customer's permission. We keep a database of our users names and email addresses for order fulfillment only.

You can sleep well knowing your information will not leave our office. And we do not send SPAM - for sure.
